I’m happy to announce that online classes will resume on Tuesday, September 15th. On that day we’ll return to the usual schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, 9:30-10:30.
I’ve had an interesting break from teaching and look forward to sharing the things I’ve learned, including some cool variations on the Eight Brocades, in preparation to teach “Unravelling the Eight Brocades” for the VassarLifelong Learning Institute later this month. I’m also about to re-enter the delightful world of the Animal Frolics, and study with perhaps the most graceful practitioner of this fun and profound practice I’ve ever encountered, Master Faye Li Yip. I can’t wait to learn from her and share what she teaches!
Perhaps the biggest lesson I learned during my hiatus however, was from my acupuncturist Nicole Cutler. She helped me realize I have been neglecting my own practice. Yes, me! She helped me understand that researching, planning, writing about and teaching Qigong are NOT the same as doing my own daily practice. I’m so grateful for that reminder. A daily, morning practice makes a tremendous difference in my day, giving my mind, body, and spirit a headstart of energy and flowing circulation.
In case you, too, need a little nudge to get back into the swing of things, I just added “Short but Sweet Morning and Evening Qigong Practices”, a recording of our last class in July, to my YouTube channel.
Enjoy! See you on Tuesday, September 15th!
