Qigong Class Schedule: July 6 - 12, 2026

Hi Friends,

That’s our fellow Qi-ster Meredith, taking her Qigong on the road by doing “Picking Cherries” in an actual Oregon cherry tree! I hope the rest of you had a nice weekend, too, despite the heat.

As temperatures climbed, I enjoyed sharing with you some peaceful, soothing Qigong exercises to play with when it’s too hot to do more than go with the flow. As Jim B said after class: “I’m finally starting to get it. Sure, the “Silk Reeling” and other movements are great for our joints and our muscles, but really, it’s all about relaxing!” Exactly! Remember, the only thing you can do “wrong” in Qigong is to not relax. That’s a lifetime practice, challenging for many of us. It never gets old, however; it continues to reveal often surprising insights and opportunities to evolve.

Speaking of relaxing, please be sure to look at the schedule for the rest of July, below, and note both the special events--a few of them outdoors, weather permitting-- as well as cancellations when I am away. I especially urge you to treat yourself to “Acupressure for Stress Relief” at Innisfree Gardens next Saturday, July 11th.  The energy is very special there. Apparently, the baby eagles at the far end of the lake are fledging!

I’m happy to know that some of you will be joining me at Kripalu at the end of the month. Talk about chilling out: my co-teachers and I have three and a half calm, relaxing, and refreshing days planned for you.  We’ll be sharing techniques for getting the most energy from your time in nature by applying Qigong techniques.  It’s always a wonderful, healing retreat from the quotidian worries and cares of life…and the food is amazing!

Stay cool and keep the good energy flowing, everyone!
