Greetings from Kripalu!

Although no electronic devices, not even smart watches, are allowed in public spaces here, I snuck my phone outside to take this picture for you. Being unplugged is a nice change. So is experiencing silent breakfast in the dining hall each morning. Eating in silence is a revered practice in many places of spiritual retreat, and if you’ve never tried it, I recommend it as a lovely, peaceful way to begin your day.  I probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much if along with conversation, coffee was still banned here at Kripalu, but happily those days are over!

I look forward to sharing more about our group’s adventures in “Harvesting Energy from Trees” next week. Meanwhile, why not take some time to give yourself an infusion of good qi and “breathe the air of trees” wherever you are?
